Your Tasks

  • You will lead the IT department both operationally and strategically, which will involve technical architecture, solution design, planning and implementing projects, fostering innovation, and organizing the allocation of resources across multiple international locations
  • You will work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations with specific attention to service improvement and organizational efficiency
  • You will develop and implement IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision. You will also implement standards for infrastructure and equipment and eliminate unneeded complexity
  • You will implement asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment
  • You will negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer, consultant contracts and service agreements. You will leverage third parties to scale the department bandwidth for special projects or skill set to complete projects on-time and to architectural/quality standards
  • You will develop and implement security best practices including standards, policies, and procedures. You will monitor the company’s networks/platforms/systems for security breaches and investigate incidents
  • You will direct the installation and use of security tools such as firewalls, data encryption, endpoint protection, vulnerability management tools, to protect sensitive information
  • You will develop and implement an ongoing security awareness training program for employees
  • You will manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, personal computers, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals
  • You will oversee the provision of end-user support services, including service desk and technical support. You will utilize data from support activities to reduce future incidents and problems. You will use the service desk data to drive training, preventative measures, and equipment choices
  • You will manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and corrective actions. You will lead, coach, and empower the team to be successful
  • You will empower the IT team to work with functional leaders and end-users to analyze workflows and identify simplification opportunities You will benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement, flexibility, and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems
  • You will manage the financial aspects of IT, including purchasing, budgeting, budget review, and the long-term planning sessions. You will develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analysis for IT spending and initiatives supported by the expected return on investment and cost/risk/benefit analysis

Your Profile

  • English language fluency is required
  • You have 9+ years of IT management experience, preferably with a technical background
  • You have in depth understanding of a wide range of technologies/standards:
    • Cloud computing: e.g., IaaS, PaaS, SaaS
    • Infrastructure: e.g., Active Directory Directory Services, DNS, DHCP,
    • Networks: e.g., wide area networks (SD-WAN), local area networks, wireless LAN, virtual private networks, Meraki switches and access points, Fortinet firewalls, etc.
    • Workplace; e.g. personal computers, office productivity applications (Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise), Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SharePoint Online, client operating systems (Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Windows 11).
    • Telephony: e.g. Microsoft (Teams) Calling, mobile telephony, Teams devices, Android smartphones (Samsung Galaxy).
    • Modern endpoint management: e.g., Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Intune, Autopilot.
    • Business Applications: e.g. SAP ERP, SAP BI, Infor CRM (formerly Sage Saleslogix), Innosoft Field Service Management (preferable, not mandatory).
  • You have strong managerial skills and a demonstrative past with leading teams and direct reports is peferred
  • You have proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development
  • You have experience with application and data security, identity and access management, incident response and/or risk management
  • Experience in managing the IT budget (circa 2 million euros) for an organization is preferred
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships including negotiating contracts and pricing is preferred
  • You are experienced in working with business leaders and business functions and able to demonstrate a strong track record of success in understanding the needs of the business and delivering technology solutions that meet those needs
  • Domestic and international travel is required
