Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d) AI-Robotics

Your Tasks

• You design and take ownership of the architecture of scalable platforms for research workflows (training, simulation) as well as production systems (real-time inference, data collection)
• You develop tooling to seamlessly transfer models from Python-based research environments into high-performance C++/Rust runtimes
• You optimize critical system paths such as inference latency, training throughput, and resource utilization
• You establish and enforce engineering standards, including CI/CD pipelines, build systems (Bazel), and containerization (Docker)
• You build fault-tolerant systems for long-running experiments as well as safety-critical robotics applications

Your Profile

• You hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a comparable technical field
• You have several years of software engineering experience and own large features from design to deployment
• You have strong Python skills and solid experience in modern C++ or Rust
• You have experience designing scalable system architectures (microservices, APIs, distributed systems, e.g., gRPC/REST)
• You work to high engineering standards with a strong focus on testing, code reviews, and modular, maintainable codebases
